Cass to seek Ward 3 City Council seat

Ward 3 resident James D. “J.D.” Cass will run for City Council in the fall election.

Cass filed with the Hill County Clerk and Recorder’s office Wednesday, setting up a contest with Caleb Hutchins, who filed earlier in the week.

Cass said he decided to run because he wants to “give back” the community.

“Havre was a great place to raise our three Blue Ponies, all grown adults now,” he said.

“I’ve lived here since 1983. Havre is still a great place to live. I hope to make it even better.”

For the first time, elections will be held on a non-partisan basis.
