Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Shane Ketchum, Box Elder Football

The Box Elder Bears are on an unprecedented roll, and there are many reasons why. But in their latest win, senior Shane Ketchum was a huge reason. Ketchum scored five touchdowns in the Bears' 80-26 destruction of Westby-Grenora last Saturday. He caught a pair of TD passes, ran for two more, including a 65-yarder and scored on a 77-yard kickoff return as he racked up nearly 200 yards of total offense. Ketchum is a four-year starter for the Bears and is also a standout in basketball and track and field.

Abigail Ellison, Chinook Volleyball

The Chinook volleyball team just keeps on winning. And the Sugarbeeters have a lot of stars. This past weekend, it was Abigail Ellison's turn to be the star as she helped Chinook win two more big matches. Last Thursday, Ellison tallied 11 kills in the Beeters' huge 6C East win over Chester/J-I. And the very next night, Ellison came right back and totaled 10 kills as the Beeters easily swept Class B Malta. Ellison also stands out on the basketball court for the Beeters in the winter.
