Morsette pleads in armed pharmacy robbery

A Havre woman pleaded guilty this morning in state District Court in Havre in a case charging her with robbing a Havre pharmacy of some 6,000 pills at gunpoint.

Arlene Morsette, born in 1984, was scheduled for a hearing on her competency to stand trial. Instead, she pleaded guilty under a signed plea agreement.

District Judge David Cybulski, who is presiding over this case, ordered a presentence investigation and said he would schedule a sentencing hearing.

Judge Dan Boucher this morning scheduled a hearing for Nov. 30 for a change of plea in another case. That case alleges Morsette sold drugs to informants on two occasions in October of 2014 during controlled purchases set up by the local drug task force while she was awaiting trial in the pharmacy robbery case.
