Obituary - Darcy Dawn Buhmann

The beautiful Darcy Dawn Buhmann was born to Shirley Rae (Abel) and Bruce Donahue Buhmann on May 19, 1978, in Havre, Montana.

Darcy was a very bright and spirited child who shared her mom's love for all animals. She was always able to bring life and adventure into every occasion. Her free and fun-loving spirit followed her into her adult life and touched all those who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She was often referred to as the free-spirited girl by friends and family near and far, and her enthusiasm for life was contagious.

Darcy graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy and eventually opened her own massage studio in Bozeman, Montana. She was widely known for her amazing healing touch.

Darcy embarked into the world of motherhood on Dec. 7, 2004, alongside her future husband, Chris Wood, when the family welcomed their daughter, Ameliah Sequoia Buhmann, into the world.

Darcy married Chris on July 9, 2009. They later welcomed their youngest child, Eve Rowan Wood, into the family. Darcy adored and cherished every moment as a mom. She found so much joy, and it fulfilled her soul to discover the world through the eyes of her children.

Adventure in the outdoors and physical fitness were another passion of Darcy's. She loved hiking with her dogs, kayaking and biking. There were many fond memories created over the years of camping and boating with the family.

Darcy was taken from us too soon on March 9, 2016, and now joins her mother, Shirley (Abel) Buhmann, who preceded her in death, along with her grandparents, Phyllis and Robert Buhmann and Keith and Ruby Abel.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Wood; beloved daughters, Ameliah Buhmann and Eve Wood; father, Bruce (Jodi) Buhmann; brother, Lennie (Reneé) Buhmann; sister, Lindsey (Jimmy) Steyee; and numerous nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, at 1 p.m. at Grace Bible Church in Bozeman.

Funeral Services will also be held Wednesday, March 16, at 11 a.m. at American Lutheran Church in Chinook, followed by interment at Kuper Memorial Cemetery in Chinook.
