Harlem crash victim identified

Staff and wire report

The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office released this morning the name of the 45-year-old woman who was killed in a weekend crash south of Harlem.

Undersheriff Frank Billmayer said in an email that Michelle L. Speakthunder of the Harlem and Fort Belknap area died in the crash on Montana Highway 66 just before 10 p.m. Sunday.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Speakthunder’s sport utility vehicle drifted off the right side of the road. She steered back onto the road and overcorrected, causing the SUV to roll. She was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the SUV.

The patrol is investigating the crash.
