Herdsmanship Club to gain from Pizza Hut benefit

People who eat food at Havre Pizza Hut today can donate money to the 4-H Herdsmanship Club.

The newly formed club helps promote good care of animals.

Kodi Kym, an adviser to the club, said the members will be performing a variety of activities during the Great Northern Fair this summer.

All people have to do to help raise money is tell the server at Pizza Hut that they want to donate to the club and 20 percent of purchase will go to the new club.

The club will be inspecting stalls during the fair to ensure that the animals are being kept in a good manner and that their areas are clean.

Each day prizes will be awarded to the 4-H clubs that are doing the best, she said.

A grand prize to a small club and a large club will be awarded at the end of the fair.

When the new 4-H Chuckwagon opens in 2017, a plaque given to the grand prize winners will be on display, she said.

The committee will stress traits such as responsibility, pride, courteousness and respect, she said.

The 4-H members on the committee this year are Dylan Chvilicek, Kassidy Compton, Peytan King, Noah Molitor, Sydney O’Neil, Payton Peterson, Paij Peterson, Cole Schlotfeldt, Sable Swinney .
