Havre High Band ... and they're off

Here is the report on Friday’s activities from the Havre High School Band members on their was to Washington, D.C. to the Fourth of July Parade.

(See Havre Daily News Facebook page for photos of the band)

Today was filled with lots of driving and sleeping, but we made it to Spokane.

The most memorable thing I got out of traveling is the sky. It sounds really cliche, but our sky always feel bigger compared to other places like Washington, Minnesota or Wisconsin.

There's very good reason we're known as the Big Sky State.

The best part was getting some sleep after two weeks of work without a day of break. The worst part was motion sickness, long road trips are no fun.

There was a surprise today for me. At dinner we got to see the girls who ran the show 'Dracula' and Kids MAT in Havre last year.

Overall today was restful and really a nice change of pace.

Going to a town that I never knew existed was pretty cool. Being able to relax and and sleep on the bus was really nice. Not being able to find a comfortable position on the bus was the worst part about today. There isn’t any surprises today.

The most memorable part about my day was being able to see the parts of Montana and Idaho I haven’t seen in a long time. The best part was when we were able to get off the bus in Spokane. The worst part would have to be being on the bus for 10 hours. It really surprised me when we saw a guy with a snake around his neck.

Nothing too memorable happened today. It was fun to travel The trip went a lot faster once we left Montana.
