Mariani bringing Play 60 to Havre

He's coming home. And this time, he's bringing an exercise movement with him.

Former Havre Blue Pony, Montana Grizzly and current Chicago Bears' wide receiver Marc Mariani will be back in Havre next Tuesday putting on an NFL Play 60 event. The event will take place at Pepin Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to boys and girls grades K-8.

Play 60 events, like the one Mariani will hold Tuesday, are free, and it's an NFL campaign to encourage kids to be active for at least 60 minutes per day in order to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity.

Mariani's Play 60 event will include a free lunch for the kids, opening comments, a 60-minute Play 60 session, as well as prize drawings.

Anyone wishing to participate in the Play 60 event at Pepin Park is reminded that a parent permission form is required. Those forms can be picked up at the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Line, Steve Mariani Insurance or Pepin Park before the event Tuesday.
