Leland Stewart's 'Serenade' featured at Northern

November is recognized nationally as American Indian History Month and in celebration the Montana State University-Northern Multicultural Center is featuring Leland Stewart as the artist of the month.

He is presenting his piece "Serenade," a 23-inch by 17-inch, water color.

Stewart is an enrolled member of the Crow Nation, Whistling Water Clan and member of The High Hawk Society. He is a 1975 graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts in New Mexico, but he was painting before he went to college, since he was in high school at Saint Labre Indian Mission.
