MSU-N spikers honored

The 2016 volleyball season was a good one for the Montana State University-Northern Skylights. And several Northern players are getting postseason accolades.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association recently announced its 2016 NAIA All-Region Teams, and a pair of Skylights earned Northwest Region Honorable Mention honors. Junior hitter Cassie Krueger and freshman middle Timi Severson were both named All Northwest Region. The list is composed of players from a nine-state region.

Three Northern players also earned Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete Awards. Senior Cydney Auzenne, senior Emily Russell and junior Kylie Pasieka were all named NAIA Scholar Athletes for 2016.

To be nominated for the honor, players must maintain a 3.5 GPA and be at least a junior.
