Knights bring home state speech medals

North Star High School speech and drama saw success over the weekend at the Class BC state tournament hosted by Chinook High School at Montana State University-Northern in Havre.

Hayden Massar brought back a sixth-place medal in humorous oral interpretation of literature, while Aubrey Welch earned an eighth-place medal in spontaneous oral interpretation of literature.

Also placing well for North Star were Sammi Watson, who took 12th in spontaneous oral interp, and Janea West, who took 14th in pantomime.
