Skills students converge on Northern for 46th SkillsUSA conference

Havre's university once again hosted a convention of students in skill categories with two days of competition culminating in an awards ceremony at Montana State University-Northern's Armory gymnasium Wednesday.

The state's 46th SkillsUSA conference - and the 45th hosted at Northern - started with competition Monday, bringing 325 students representing 35 secondary schools and two post-secondary schools to compete in 36 events, Steven Don, Northern's chair of the College of Technical Sciences said Wednesday.
