Obituary: Judy Ann Lazier

Judy Ann Lazier of Havre, 70, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at her home surrounded by family.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, April 24, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel with Deacon Timothy Maroney officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Memorials in Judy's name may be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd, Miami, FL 33134, the Humane Society of Western Montana P.O. Box 1059 Missoula, MT 59806 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Judy was born July 29, 1946, to Lloyd and Jeanette (LaFrance) Houim in Rolette, North Dakota. The family moved to Montana when Judy was young and she began her schooling in Kremlin and later in Havre; graduating from Havre High School in 1965. On March 28, 1965, she married John "Jack" Lazier in Chinook; the couple moved to Minnesota soon after. Later, they returned to Havre and raised their two daughters.

Judy had her own house cleaning business for 30 years and was very successful. She was meticulous in her work and it made her a favorite around town, when she chose to retire there were many sad customers.

She was a huge Elvis fan and had a large collection of memorabilia as well as having serval other collections such as her owls. She enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with her cats. NASCAR was another interest, she cheered for Kyle Bush and Carl Edwards.

When Jack took up drag racing the couple traveled around the state as well as to Spokane and parts of Canada. Judy sent cards for every occasion to all those who were special in her life, she would often send cards to pets and would have them ready far in advance of the occasion.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Jeanette; step-father, Bud Avery; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Bertha Lazier; one grandson; sisters-in-law Cathy Jo Lazier and Donna "Witty" Brien, and nephew Bob Brien.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack Lazier of Havre; daughters, Cindy Lazier (Dave Gehnert) of Glendive and Cheryl Lazier (Buster Stuber) of Havre; grandchildren Heather Irizarry of Fort Morgan, Colorado, Amber (Daniel) Milam of Havre, Damon Ceynar, Brittany Ceynar and Bradley Ceynar, all of Glendive; six great grandchildren; sisters, Jace Houim, Carol (Mike) McDuffy, Susan Burton (Keith Lanotti), all of Missoula, and Sandi (John) Knutson of Wasilla, Alaska; brother, Rick Houim of South Dakota; brothers-in-law, Pep (Verna) Lazier of Soaplake and Frank Brien of Havre, and numerous nieces and nephews.
