Walen benefit scheduled for Friday

A benefit to help Matt Walen with his expenses fighting his third bout of cancer is set to start at 6 p.m. in the Havre Eagles Club.

Walen, a 1985 Havre High School graduate, will not be able to attend as he will be undergoing stem cell transplants in Aurora, Colorado, but his wife, Milene, will be there.

The benefit dinner, which has no admission fee, will be shrimp linguine.

A variety of items will be auctioned at the benefit, including of”Griz Tickets” for season opener on 9/2/17, and a “Night out in Billings” and other items.
