Hello God. It's me, Mara

Grace

How special, Lord, to be in a group when someone asked, So, how have you been blessed this week?” We all thought we’d just sit in absolute silence. Not so! One gentleman piped right up. He shared that recently he’d been in a near accident with a truck. “It was only by the grace of God that an accident didn’t happen. My van sustained only a scratch.”

A lady told about several events and a trip she’d been planning to take when suddenly the dates got bunched up. She was disappointed. Then, suddenly, some dates changed, not only that, her daughter got her a reduced rate on airline tickets. End result? “I attended all that had originally been planned and truly, it was only by the grace of God that it happened.”

One gal shared that two older ladies were shopping. While checking out, they noticed that there wasn’t a “box-boy” in sight. Then, out of nowhere, there came “Tex” (they don’t know his name)!  He grabbed their bags and off they went. Now Tex isn’t your ordinary carryout guy — once the ladies turned to the correct lane, he knew exactly which automobile was theirs. How special is that? Tex definitely serves with wisdom and grace. He really brought joy to those two ladies. Tex is certainly a gift of God — every day.

We need to take a moment and ask ourselves if we have seen You, Lord, your grace, at work in our lives lately.

One author wrote that grace is mentioned 170 times in the King James Version of the Bible beginning with: “Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” (Gen 6:8).

We read in 2 Cor. 9:8 (KJV):” And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”

Thank you, Lord, for your grace!

Love, Mara
