Fake $100s hit Havre

Havre Police are investigating multiple incidents in which fake $100 bills have been used at local Havre businesses.

“These bills look very similar to a true $100 bill. However, they are marked ‘For Motion Picture Use Only,’” a press release from the Havre police department says.

The bills all have the same serial number — CP 01105192 L — and people are asked to use caution and look bills over before taking them.

The fake bills may have been purchased online, Assistant Chief of Police Jason Barkus said. He said he was unsure where the suspect, or suspects, got them.
