Online coursework offered in web development, data analysis

Big Sky Code Academy is offering two separate sets of courses online, both full-time and part-time courses, to teach people programming and data analysis.

The Data Science Bootcamp covers what people need to know to be job ready as a junior data analyst or junior data scientist, depending on the track of choice.

People in the course will build portfolio pieces to show off to potential employers and gain a solid understanding of how to extract meaning from large data sets using a wide variety of machine learning, data mining, and data science techniques with the Python programming language.

Class Dates:

Full Time Part 1: Data Analysis, Oct. 2-Dec. 8

Full Time Part 2: Machine Learning, Jan. 15-April 6

Part Time Part 1: Data Analysis, Sept. 11-Dec. 20

Part Time Part 2: Machine Learning, Jan. 15-May 18

Location: Online Classroom (synchronous)

Available Schedules:

FT Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

PT Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Students will learn:

• Intermediate Python Programming

• Basic & Intermediate Statistics

• Introductory Probability

• Introductory Linear Algebra

• Data Visualization Methods

The second part of the bootcamp focuses on:

• Machine Learning

• Advanced Python Programming

• Advanced Statistical Models

• Distributed Databases/Computational Methods

Big Sky Code Academy combines live instructor-led lectures with hands-on learning, including weekly assignments, and individual and group projects. Students will be using advanced data analysis tools by the end of the first week.

The other offering is the Web Development Bootcamp, also in part-time or full-time courses.

The course incudes a Job Offer Guarantee for students who successfully complete the Web Development Bootcamp.

Location: Online (synchronous)

Available Schedules:

FT — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday

PT — Class Option 1 — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday through Friday

PT Class Option 2 - 6:30-9:30pm Tues-Thur

From some or no coding experience to Jr. Web Dev in 12 weeks full-time or 21 weeks part-time.

People will learn to code and launch their career in web development. With a focus on JavaScript, students know the most commonly used programming language by professional developers today.

No previous programming experience is necessary. Class moves fast, so this is the perfect opportunity to begin learning to code, learn a new tech stack, or boost coding skills to the next level. Big Sky Code Academy combines live instructor-led lectures with hands-on learning.

You’ll be programming before the end of the first week of classes.

Training Includes: Wireframing, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Node.js, ReactJS, Express, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RESTful API design, Git, and Agile development methodologies. This boot camp covers everything people need to know to be job ready as a junior web developer
