Grief Poem - AUTUMN

It’s autumn now, we know you’ve gone, just wishing you were here.

The leaves do change, the wind does blow, and snowflakes may fall near!

We know it was your time to go; this year has whizzed by fast!

Summer did come and now it’s gone, warm summer nights are passed.

You’re in our thoughts, you are still loved; you’re missed so very much

We sense that you are close to us; we almost feel your touch.

Dear ones we’ve loved don’t disappear; we sense that they’re close by.

We keep in mind some special thoughts, and sometimes, yes, we cry.

We know you’re safe and free from pain with Jesus, our dear Lord.

My dear, you’re missed, but best of all, up to Heaven you soared!

Sweet memories, dear is your name, we know that God knew best.

Deep in our hearts, you will remain; in Christ there’s perfect rest!

If roses grow in Heaven Lord, then pick a bunch for us….

Then place them in our loved ones arms and tell him they’re from us!

No words can tell the loss we had — T’was on the twenty-fifth.

Memory is love, it can’t be spent; it never goes adrift.
