Big Sandy FFA competes in Districts

Big Sandy FFA Chapter took 26 members to Judith Basin Fall Districts in Hobson Sept. 26 to compete in Range Agronomy and Livestock Evaluation.

Two members from Big Sandy competed in the Senior Range Agronomy competition, grades 10 and older, and four students competed in the Junior Range Agronomy competition. There were also nine competitors in Junior Livestock Evaluation competition from Big Sandy as well as eight competitors in the Senior Livestock Evaluation Team.

The Junior Agronomy team took second place overall with Katherine Bold taking third place individually. The Junior Livestock Evaluation team took third place overall with Lance Rutledge taking eighth overall. Grace Finke took seventh place overall in Senior Range Agronomy and Andrea Rutledge took thirteenth overall in Senior Livestock Evaluation.

Other chapters that competed in the contests included Chinook, Judith Gap, Moore, Hobson, Fergus of Lewistown, Harlem, Grass Range, Geraldine, Roy, Denton, Winifred and Malta.
