From the courts: Hill County Justice Court

The following cases were resolved in Hill County Justice Court by Judge Audrey Barger in March.

Jenson Jay Wolfchief, born in 1977, forfeited $250 bond for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Bob A. Klotz, born in 1964, was fined $100 for speeding, 112 mph in a 70 mph zone.

——

Philip Michael Stehman, born in 1956, was fined $400 for exceeding 34,000 pounds, tandem axle weight limit.

——

Vern Thomas Gardipee Jr., born in 1984, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

Lesley Kim Gibbs, born in 1970, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, third or subsequent offense. In a subsequent case, Gibbs was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for criminal possession of marijuana, first offense. In a later case, Gibbs was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Martha Lorene Champagne, born in 1975, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense; was sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for obstructing a peace officer or other public servant; and was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $200 for driving without a valid driver’s license.

Autumn Lee Top Sky, born in 1992, was fined $100 for driving without a valid driver’s license, has never possessed one.

Glenda Jane Eagleman, born in 1973, was fined $200 for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

——

Jordana Nile Mitchell, born in 1993, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, first offense.

Thomas Cordelle, born in 1993, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 172 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

——

Dallas Jordan Reevis, born in 1997, was fined $100 for minor in possession, over age 18, first offense.

——

John Michael Kuhn, born in 1985, forfeited $250 bond for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

——

Joshua C. Merasty, born in 1980, was given a deferred imposition of sentence and fined $100 for criminal possession of marijuana, first offense.

——

David Daniel Day III, born in 1986, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, third or subsequent offense, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. In a later case, Day was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Waylon Dewight Davis, born in 1985, was fined $550 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for operating a vehicle with .08 percent blood alcohol concentration or greater, first offense, amended from driving under the influence, first offense.

Douglas Fred Hofeldt, born in 1951, was fined $100 for careless driving, amended from DUI, first offense.

——

Patricia Marie Huntley, born in 1986, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for negligent endangerment, amended from DUI, second offense.

Shelby Cole Evans, born in 1996, was given a deferred imposition of sentence, fined $50 and ordered to pay $500 restitution for waste of a game animal, fish or bird.

Ladawna Rose Chief Goes Out, born in 1972, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Jason Bryan Martin, born in 1983, was ordered to pay $359.51 restitution and sentenced to 365 days in jail, 335 days suspended and four credited, for assault with bodily fluid.

Vinoth Murugeswaran, born in 1987, was fined $100 for log book not being current.

——

Scott Evan Beecher, born in 1958, was fined $250 for hour driving rule, property carriers.

——

Waylon Tyrrell Potts, born in 1982, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for driving without a valid driver’s license; was sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, second offense; and was fined $100 for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, third or subsequent offense.

Bradley L. Perkins, born in 1999, was fined $100 for failure to carry or exhibity proof of insurance in a vehicle, third or subsequent offense.

Joel Rae Ross, born in 1974, was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Kyle Allen Couts-Russell, born in 1998, forfeited $250 bond for operating a vehicle without liability insurance in effect, first offense.

——

Jason Anthony Laner, born in 1978, forfeited $100 bond for failing to follow conditions and requirements of special permit.

——

Harvey J. Morsette Jr., born in 1980, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 168 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

Anton Ryder Schell, born in 1996, forfeited $100 bond for operating a commercial vehicle without proper endorsement.

——

Kyle Tyler Windyboy, born in 1985, was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked.

——

Walker Gene Wise, born in 1996, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for criminal possession of marijuana, first offense.

——

Colyn St. Pierre, born in 1982, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for disorderly conduct.

——

Rhonda Patricia Dawn Ginther, born in 1985, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for disorderly conduct.

——

Michael Shawn Swinney, born in 1978, forfeited $100 bond for failing to follow conditions and requirements of special permit.

——

Michael Scott Morsette, born in 1983, was fined $150 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Jami Lynn Hammons, born in 1990, was fined $100 and sentenced to 365 days in jail, all days suspended, for criminal possession of marijuana, second offense; was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked; was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia; and was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Eric Don Ottinger, born in 1979, forfeited $130 bond for failing to use or extend retractable axle when weight exceeds legal maximum for fixed axles.

Justin James Martin, born in 1977, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was fined $250 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, all days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, first offense.

Douglas Alan Reichman, born in 1956, forfeited $100 bond for log book not being current.

——

Vickie Lynn Bigleggins, born in 1973, was fined $90 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 174 days suspended, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 174 days suspended, for failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, third or subsequent offense.

Jemcer Francisco Nelson, born in 1992, was fined $100 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, 178 days suspended and two credited, for driving while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked and was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, all days suspended, for operating a vehicle without liability insurance, third or subsequent offense.

Amandeep Singh Sidhu, born in 1988, forfeited $200 bond for failing to obey direction to be weighed.

——

Todd Allan Wahl, born in 1973, forfeited $200 bond for failing to obey direction to be weighed.

——

Judge Barger also dealt with 45 tickets resulting in fines of less than $100 or jail sentences of fewer than seven days, and she or the prosecution dismissed 28 charges. Barger transferred seven citations to another court, issued six search warrants and held 17 probable cause hearings for cases out of her jurisdiction. Additionally, five suspended sentences or deferred impositions of sentencing were revoked and reinstated and one was voided by the ticketing agency, and one probation and parole violation went before the judge.
