Elks set cribbage tourney to benefit Bear Paw fire department

Havre Daily News staff

The Havre Elks Lodge is holding a cribbage tournament that will help benefit the Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department, including helping with its expenses battling the East Fork Fire in the Bear Paw Mountains in August and September.

The tournament is set for Saturday, Nov. 11, with singles starting at 3 p.m. and doubles starting about 6:30 p.m.

The entry is $15 per person for either singles or doubles, or $25 per person to sign up for both. Entries include a sloppy joe meal provided by the Elks Club.

Payout is for the top two places in singles and the top two teams in doubles.

Half of the pot will go to Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department.

People with questions can call 390-0091, and people are asked to RSVP so organizers know how many boards will be needed.
