Austin Jones, Havre High X-Country

Havre High senior Austin Jones has been racing for four years to be one of the top runners at the Class A state cross country meet. In his last try, he finally accomplished his mission. Jones finished 10th at last Saturday's state meet in Helena, which earned him Class A All-State honors. Jones, who is also a distance runner in track, finished the boys race in 17:18, helping his team to a Top 10 finish as well.

Kaylee Nystrom, HHS X-Country

Havre High senior Kaylee Nystrom only started running cross country two years ago. But she has made the most of it. In her final race of her brief cross country career, Nystrom posted a Top 20 finish at last Saturday's Class A state meet, finshing in 20th place overall. Nystrom, who also plays basketball and runs track for the Blue Ponies, helped Havre to an outstanding sixth-place finish in the team race.
