Montana Actors' Theatre is celebrating Halloween this weekend with a special showing of a play that shows you what not to do if you want to be safe.

"Horror Movie 101: Failing Can be Deadly" by Steven Stack runs Friday and Saturday in Cowan Hall's Little Theatre on the Montana State University-Northern campus.

Director Valary Guyant said the production is a series of five interlocking stories in which characters break the rules of Horror Movie 101 etiquette.

"They open doors when they shouldn't, go places they shouldn't, and do things that are sure to lead to a horror-movie scenario," Guyant said.

Although the original script is set in the fictitious town of St. Clair, Minnesota, the producers altered some details to place it in Havre instead., she added

"The show is not extremely violent or gory, but it does have both creepy and funny moments," she said.

Guyant said all ages are welcome to attend, but audience members should know that the production will have some audience-character interaction and there deaths and zombies are on stage.

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students, senior citizens and members of the military. Tickets are available at five head's, Computer Center, Bear Paw Meats or online at http://www.mtactors.com.
