Havre Daily News staff

Hill County Extension is offering a class to help people help others who are struggling with mental health or substance abuse problems.

Mental Health First Aid training is set for Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fireside Room in District 4 Human Resources Development Council, 2229 Fifth Ave. Lunch will be provided to people attending the session.

Two certified instructors will present the course, which gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with the appropriate support and resources when necessary.

The class is free, but space is limited and the number of people attending must be known to order the proper amount of materials. People are asked to RSVP by Nov. 24 by calling or emailing Hill County Extension Agent Jasmine Carbajal at 265-5481 ext. 235 or emailing [email protected].
