Blue Pony spikers honored

The Class A state volleyball tournament was played last weekend in Bozeman and now that the season has concluded, the postseason awards were announced across the state, including in the Central A.

While the Havre High volleyball team was unable to advance past the Eastern A Divisional Tournament, the Blue Ponies had three players that earned postseason honors, led by senior Camryn Huston, who was named Second-Team All-Conference in the Central A. Huston finished in the top 10 in the Central A in both kills and digs this past season for HHS as a senior.

The Central A All Conference First Team featured Anna Zimmer and Bailey Collins of Lewistown, along with Bailey Christensen and Taylor Christensen, as well as Jaiden Blakely of Belgrade. The other first teamer was Aleah Peterson of Livingston.

Joining Huston on the Central A All-Conference Second Team was Jade Phelps, Andrea Russell and Becca Bawden of Lewistown, plus Cassidy Catron and McKenna Carlons of Belgrade. Havre sophomores Sam Oliver and Jessa Chvilicek also earned honorable mention to the Central A All-Conference team. Oliver was among the conference leaders in assists and sets, while Chvilicek ranked among the top 10 in blocks. Belgrade's Jade Schmidt also earned Coach of the Year honors.
