Cats, Griz earn Big Sky accolades

Montana State running back Troy Andersen was named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year. Andersen was the second straight Bobcat to win the award, after Chris Murray took it home in 2016.

The season is over for both the Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State Bobcats. But both teams had reason to celebrate Tuesday, as the Big Sky Conference announced its All-Conference Team and postseason awards.

The Grizzlies had 12 selections to the Big Sky Team, while the Bobcats had eight. And for the second year in a row, Montana State was home to the Big Sky Freshman of the Year, as running back/linebacker Troy Andersen earned the 2017 honors.
