MAT sets auditions for 'Dinner with Friends'

Montana Actors’ Theatre is holding auditions next week for the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “Dinner with Friends.”

The play, written by playwright Donald Margulies, shows two couples and the impact divorce has on their friendships.

Margulies weighs the cost of breaking up and staying together with “wit, compassion and consummate skill,” a release about the auditions said.

The auditions, set for 7 p.m. on Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 in Cowan Hall Room 107 on the Montana State University-Northern campus, are for roles for two men and two women, all in their 40s.

For more information, people can call Rachel at 399-3992.

MAT also is offering season tickets for the 2017-18 season. People can gain admission for six shows for the price of five, $85 for adults and $65 for senior citizens.

After the purchase, if they provide their current email address, purchasers will receive an email with their patron identification and instructions for use.

“Dinner with Friends” opens Jan. 18, following the MAT Christmas production of “Robin Hood — A Panto” which premieres Friday, Dec. 8.

The next show in the 2017-18 season is “The Momologues,” opening Feb. 2, followed by a Valentine’s Day Event Feb. 17.

“Sister Act” opens March 19, with “Rugburns“ opening April 6, “Charlotte’s Web” on May 4 and the MAT Youth Production of “Bugsy Malone” opening July 26.
