A Pizza Hut benefit is set for Thursday for a man who was seriously injured when he fell off a roof while trying to open a vent.

Henry Skones, who works at the Havre Community Pool and is the 21-year caregiver for Kasey Van Valkenburg, was seriously injured including breaking multiple bones when he fell from the roof of the pool Nov. 10.

He was flown to Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, has had multiple surgeries and is improving but has a long way to go to recovery.

"He is in rehab and it's going to take a while," Kim Cripps, who is helping set up fundraisers, said this morning.

She said several fundraisers are set.

"We're trying to get some extra (money) for Henry for stuff that comes up," she said.

Thursday, anyone making a purchase at Pizza Hut can say they are donating to Skones and the restaurant will donate 20 percent of the purchase price to his account.

Thursday, Dec. 14, a Taco John's Crunch for a Cause fundraiser for Skones will be held. If anyone making a purchase at the Havre Taco John's from 5 to 7 p.m. says they are donating to him, 50 percent of the purchase price will go to Skone's account.

A medical account also has been set up at Bear Paw Credit Union in the name of Henry Skones to which people can make donations.
