Bob was born Nov. 29, 1948, in Havre to Wilbur "Bill" and Berenice Bailey and raised with his brother and sister, Greg and Catherine.

As a young boy, Bob spent time tagging after his Grandpa Bailey and enjoyed summer visits to his Uncle Bill Schladweiler's family and his Grandma Wirth's home. Bob graduated with an education degree from Northern Montana College in1972. He married Janice Ude that same year and moved to Shelby, where she had a teaching job. After their son Brad's birth, they moved to Havre, where Bob was employed with Tilleman Motor Co. Daughter Kari arrived in 1982 to join the family.

Bob accepted a position as assistant service advisor at City Motors in 1988 and the family moved to Great Falls. He was later employed at Bennett Motors until he retired in 2013.

Bob was a loving father to Brad and Kari, always there when they needed him. He was quick to lend a hand to others, spent many hours on home remodeling and gardening projects, and enjoyed many family camping trips to Seeley and Holter lakes.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jan; daughter, Kari (Alex) Rosenleaf; grandchildren, Hannah and Kennedy of Great Falls; mother, Berenice; brother, Greg (Shelly) of Havre; and sister, Cathy Lammerding of Clarkston, WA.

He was preceded in death by his son, Brad, and father, Bill Bailey.
