Rangers, Panthers slow down Ponies

With two games at home to open the Central A conference schedule, the Havre High boys basketball team had a golden opportunity to put itself right in the thick of the conference race.

But after squandering chances to win Friday night against Livingston and Saturday against Belgrade, the Blue Ponies ended up dropping both games, losing to the Rangers 51-38, before closing the weekend with a 49-34 defeat to the Panthers in the HHS gymnasium. Havre is now 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the Central A.
