A $2,500 grant was recently awarded to the town of Big Sandy upon the completion of a Broadband Action Plan.
The grant was made possible by Triangle Communications with their Smart Rural Connected Community Challenge. The plan was put together by a stakeholder committee representing various sectors of the local economy.
The committee was appointed by the town council and worked closely with Anne Boothe, Triangle's economic development specialist, to develop a simple broadband action plan. This plan included priorities and strategies to positively impact economic developm...
