13th annual Holiday Hoops blue pony alumni games

Havre Public Schools Education Foundation is sponsoring the 13th Annual Holiday Hoops Blue Pony Alumni Basketball Games at Havre Middle School Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 6:30 p.m.

All alumni from Havre High School are invited to participate, whether or not they played basketball in high school. It’s all for fun and some friendly competition. Anyone wanting to play may call Patch at Koefod Agency at 399-0619 or Grayson at Master Sports at 680-2323. If unable to pre-register, people can show up Tuesday evening and get on a team.

The event is easy-going and relaxing, just what is needed after the busy Christmas weekend.

Admission for the games is a non-perishable food item which will be donated to the Havre Food Bank to help replenish their supply after the holidays.

The concession stand will be open for spectators to buy soft drinks, popcorn, water and more. All proceeds from the concession stand will be donated to Havre Middle School Activity Fund.

Saturday, Jan. 6, people can head over to Havre High School to watch the current Blue Pony Boys and Girls Basketball teams in action. A couple of HPSEF Directors will be there promoting Blue Pony Spirit Club/ 3 Point Club. Fans may pledge an amount for each 3 point basket made by the boys team and the girls team or make a one-time donation to the 3 Point Club.

For people wanting to pledge, last year the boys made 100 three point baskets and the girls made 125 three point shots. All funds received by the Foundation are used to help students and educators of Havre Public Schools with small grants, special projects and scholarships. The Foundation appreciates any and all support from the generous people and businesses in our community.
