Christmas is upon us, and the signs of the season have appeared along the Hi-Line and south through the Golden Triangle.

Starting with free community dinners on Thanksgiving Day and stretching through Christmas Day with, again, free community meals, the spirit of Christmas runs through the communities this time of year.

People collecting donated gifts for others who are going through hard times, local law enforcement helping children shop for the holiday, meals, concerts, plays, craft fairs, holiday celebrities like Santa and the Grinch coming to visit with children, events abound throughout the region showing the hoiday spirit.

And Mother Nature even cooperated at last, bringing a white - if rather cold - Christmas to the region.
