Bitter cold weather takes hold of much of US

Winter weather has settled in over most of the country, with Montana no exception.
A winter storm warning is in effect from 6 tonight to 5 p.m Saturday across most of the state, with heavy snow expected Friday night and Saturday. Liberty County is predicted to see 10 to 15 inches of snow accumulation, with 7 to 12 inches predicted in northern Chouteau County and 5 to 10 inches predicted in Hill and Blaine counties.
From 10 inches to 2 feet accumulation is predicted in the Bear Paw Mountains.
