After school Minnie met and married Sam Sangrey Sr. and she had 13 children. Sam passed in 1952 and the family relocated to Helena, where Minnie worked as a house keeper for Gov. Tom Judge. Minnie and her family returned several years later to Rocky Boy where Minnie worked in natural resources for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. At the age of 65, Minnie went back to school to earn her GED, taking classes at Stone Child College; later she received an honorary degree.
