Martin Wilkie, Havre Wrestling

Havre High junior Martin Wilkie is on the hunt for a third consecutive Class A state title. And he’s off to a good start. So far this season, Wilkie, a two-time state champ, has been dominant, with his only loss coming in the finals of the prestigious Tri-State Tournament last month in Idaho. Wilkie won the Havre Invite to start the season and is also fresh off a win by fall over Shelby’s Wyatt Brusven in the first-ever East-West All-Star Pre Dual last Saturday in Great Falls. Wilkie is ranked No. 1 in Class A at 145 pounds.

L'Tia Lawrence, Harlem Girls Basketball

The Harlem girls basketball team is off to its best start in more than a decade. And while the Wildcats have a lot of star power, sophomore L'Tia Lawrence is once again having a big impact. Lawrence, who was a scoring machine a season ago, is now part of a more balanced Harlem attack, but she's still averaging 15 points per game, and she scored 14 twice for Harlem in wins over Rocky Boy and Cut Bank before the Christmas break. Lawrence was also an All-State cross country runner this fall.
