Officers made an arrest after a First Street business caller reported Wednesday at 11:33 a.m. that there was a female who didn’t belong in one of the rooms. No further information was provided.


Officers investigated after a caller at a First Street West business reported Wednesday at 2:19 p.m. that a motor vehicle crash happened.


Officers investigated a motor vehicle crash after a Second Street and 15th Avenue caller notified police Wednesday at 2:22 p.m. of the incident.


Officers investigated after a Fourth Avenue and 10th Street caller reported Wednesday at 3:44 p.m. that a vehicle ended up sideways in a ditch. There was no damage to the vehicle, the report says.


Officers arrested Douglas Floyd Main of Harlem, 31, on a disorderly conduct charge after a Second Street caller reported today at 12:35 a.m. a drunk man.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies assisted a citizen after a caller requested a civil standby Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. A deputy investigated during a motor vehicle stop later at 3:34 p.m. an incident related to the first call.


Deputies made an arrest after a Smithville Road caller reported Wednesday at 12:44 p.m. that a vehicle was trespassing on the dike. No further information was provided.


Deputies investigated an assault that was reported Wednesday at 1:34 p.m. at the Hill County Detention Center.


Deputies arrested Gisele Marie Leroy of Havre, 33, on a possession of dangerous drugs charge Wednesday at 6:01 p.m. at the Hill County Detention Center.

Havre Fire Department

Medical crews responded to six calls Wednesday.


Fire crews responded to a call Wednesday at 4:21 p.m. on the 1300 Block of Ike Avenue where someone reported smoke. Firefighters did not find smoke but did detect a gas leak, which was repaired afterward by NorthWestern Energy.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning one medium-haired, three short-haired and one long haired cats.
