Obituary - Berenice M. Bailey

Berenice M. Bailey of Havre, 92, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at Northern Montana Care Center.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held this summer.

Berenice was born Nov. 16, 1925, to Walter and Catherine Wirth in Harlowton, Montana. She was raised in Harlowton attending school and graduating from Harlowton High School.

March 13, 1948, Berenice Wirth married Wilbur "Bill" Bailey in Havre. The couple had three children, Robert "Bob," Greg and Cathy.   

Berenice worked as an assistant to the CEO of the Havre hospital as well as at Sears.  

Berenice enjoyed sewing, baking, knitting, crocheting, gardening and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; brother, James Wirth; sister, Eleanor Schladweiler; grandson Brad Bailey; granddaughter Megan Bailey; and son Bob Bailey.

Berenice is survived by her children Catherine Lammerding of Clarkston, Washington; Greg (Shelly) Bailey of Havre; and daughter-in-law Jan Bailey (Bob's wife) of Great Falls. Berenice was loved by her five grandchildren Kevin Lammerding, Mike (Christina) Lammerding, Jessica (Mike) Elliott, Mallory (Tyrel) Stygles and Kari (Alex) Rosenleaf. She has 10 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Karlee and Branyan Lammerding, Maddox Lammerding, Cooper and Brody Elliott, Tristan and Tucker Stygles, Hannah Bailey and Kennedy Rosenleaf.

Memorials may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
