Obituary - Ethel A. Jurenka

Ethel A. Jurenka, 98, passed away peacefully Dec. 31, 2017, at Belmont Senior Living in Hollywood, CA.

She was born to Carl and Tina Ramberg Dec. 11, 1919, on their homestead north of Inverness, MT. She moved to Havre, MT, in 1939 and opened her own beauty shop. She married George Jurenka and together they owned and operated The Price Rite Meat Market until 1964. They had two sons.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking and supporting her children's activities. Her favorite activities included photography, scrap books, collecting and researching family history. She made a family history book dating back many centuries ago. She always had a pot of hot coffee on and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

In 2001, she moved to Boise, ID, for 13 years before returning to Great Falls, MT, residing at The Grandview at Benefis for almost four years. She then moved to Belmont Senior Living in Hollywood, CA, until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Jurenka; parents; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford (Gladys) Ramberg, Larry (Polly/Doris) Ramberg, Harold (Phyllis/Harriet) Ramberg and Clarence (Marietta) Ramberg; and many other relatives.

She is survived by her two sons, Carl (Patricia) Jurenka of Great Falls, MT, and Mark (Matt Leeds) Jurenka of Los Angeles, CA.

Burial has taken place at Highland Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
