Obituary - Elaine Rosman

Elaine Rosman, 85, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018.

Cremation has taken place, and, at Elaine's request, no services will be held.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Elaine was born July 23, 1932, in Havre to Jacob and Marjorie (Lucas) Lanius. She was raised in Havre, attending school here. In 1950, Elaine married David Rosman, and the couple made their home in Havre, where they raised their four children. In 1964, Elaine began her college education at Northern Montana College, and graduated in 1968, with her bachelor's degree in education. She taught fifth grade, first at Lincoln-McKinley and then at Devlin School, until her retirement in the mid-1990s. By this time, Elaine had obtained her master's degree.

Following retirement, she loved spending time with her family. Elaine also enjoyed bowling, quilting, Mah Jong, and geneology work, and was a crossword fanatic.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, David Rosman Sr .; her children Bonita Pollington, David Rosman Jr. and Mark Rosman; and her brothers Bill Lanius and Lawrence Lanius.

She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Rosman of Havre; her grandchildren, Ben and Jason Pollington, Stacey, Russell, Jason, Crystallyn, and Nicholas Rosman; her 18 great-granchildren; her sister, Evadna Flescher of MN; her brother Lloyd (Irene) Lanius of Billings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
