Montana’s Helena-based children’s hospital is having a reception for north-central Montana Tuesday in Havre.
Shodair Children’s Hospital invited people in the region to its reception at Northern Montana Hospital in Room 3C from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
No formal presentation is set at the event, which is an opportunity for people to find out what the hospital does.
The nonprofit hospital started in 1896 as a home for orphaned and abandoned children. It evolved and became the first facility in Montana to treat children with polio, the first with a department of medical genetics and the first with a chemical dependency unit dedicated to addlescents, its website says.
