Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Trey Murphy, Havre Boys Basketball

The Havre Blue Ponies have had their struggles this season. But not Saturday night, and not senior Trey Murphy who buried seven 3-pointers in two games in the HHS gymnasium. And Murphy, who is also a standout All-Conference football and tennis player at HHS, was especially hot against Malta Saturday night, where his 15 points helped the Ponies secure a 43-33 victory over the Mustangs, Havre's first home win of the season. Murphy hit four treys Saturday, and in all, scored 25 points against CMR and the Mustangs.

Cecelia Vielle, Box Elder Girls Basketball

The Box Elder girls are on an unprecedented roll this winter, and they have a lot of weapons. This past weekend, senior Cecilia Vielle stood out as the Bears crushed Geraldine-Highwood Friday night, and Chinook Saturday night. Vielle scored 24 points and earned a double-double against the Rivals Friday night, then added 19 points and 11 rebounds in a District 9C rout of the Sugarbeeters Saturday night. Vielle, a transfer from Centerville, has bolstered the Bears in the paint and helped them to a 14-0 record so far.
