Five Northern spikers honored for academics

For years, the Montana State University-Northern Skylights haven't just been strong on the volleyball court, they've been very good in the classroom too.

And 2017 was no exception.

The 2017 Frontier Conference Academic All-Conference Volleyball team was announced earlier this week, and five Skylights were on the list.

Senior Kylie Pasieka, majoring in business, sophomore Hannah Amtmann, majoring in nursing, sophomore Katia Michelotti, majoring in Biology, sophomore Haley Yoer, majoring in elementary education and sophomore Timi Severson, majoring in physiology, were all named the Academic All-Conference team for the 2017 season.

To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing, maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled at school the previous two semesters.
