Havre Police Department

Officers investigated after a representative of Havre Public Works reported at 8:54 a.m. Monday that a sanding truck was involved in a crash on Eighth Street and 14th Avenue.

Officers issued a written or verbal warning after a person spoke with an officer at 9:44 a.m. Thursday about being harassed.

Officers investigated a motor vehicle crash on First Street reported at 11:09 a.m. Thursday.

Officers investigated a motor vehicle crash on Fifth Avenue and 10th Street reported at 12:44 p.m. Thursday.

Officers investigated a two-vehicle crash on First Street reported at 3:19 p.m. Thursday in which one driver said her back was hurt.

Officers investigated a report made at 3:35 p.m. Thursday that a bus with students in it was hit by another vehicle on Fifth Avenue. The caller said no one was injured.

Officers investigated after a caller from a First Street establishment reported at 8:08 p.m. Thursday that his pickup was stolen.

After a caller near the Seventh Avenue Viaduct reported at 5:58 this morning that someone was getting into mailboxes and then got into a vehicle and drove off, officers made an arrest. No additional information was available in the police dispatch log.

Officers also responded to several calls in which people reported they were stuck.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies served a warrant on someone at the Hill County Detention Center at 9:41 a.m. Thursday. No additional information was available in the sheriff’s office dispatch log.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Thursday.

Havre firefighters responded to a call at 9:07 a.m. Thursday on the 1400 Block of Second Street Northwest No one was available at the Havre Fire Department this morning to provide information about the call.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held four medium-hair cats, sex listed as “unknown”; one Siamese cat, sex listed as “unknown”; two male short-hair, one female short-hair, one male medium-hair, one female medium-hair, one female long-hair and one female calico cat.

The shelter this morning held four 7-week-old female Rottweiler-shepherd mixed-breed puppies, a female Rottweiler-shepherd mixed-breed dog, a 9-month-old male Australian shepherd, a male 7-month-old pit bull terrier-hound mixed-breed dog, a male Labrador retreiver-pug mixed-breed dog, a male 10-month-old German shepherd, a female border collie and a female Labrador retriever.
