Havre Police Department

Officers arrested two people after a Sixth Street caller reported Thursday at 7:24 a.m. that a white sedan had been sitting out front for more than an hour and the person behind the steering wheel appeared to be passed out. Eric Lee Ambler of Havre, 41, was arrested on a driving under the influence charge and Mercedes Rose McDowell of Havre, 23, was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers investigated after a Montana State University-Northern caller reported Thursday at 8:52 a.m. that a Saturn was hit sometime the day before and incurred mirror and door damage.

Officers investigated after a 13th Street West caller reported Thursday at 9:19 a.m. a car crash.

Officers investigated after a caller at a First Street business reported Thursday at 3:23 p.m. that a cellphone was stolen out of his pickup truck.

Officers arrested Jeffrey Blaine Dolphay of Havre, 38, on charges of obstructing a peace officer and driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license Thursday at 3:43 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop on Fifth Street North.

Officers investigated after a 15th Avenue caller reported Thursday at 3:59 p.m. a two-vehicle crash where someone slid into a fire hydrant and another vehicle left the scene.

Officers investigated after a 13th Street West caller requested Thursday at 9:33 a.m. to speak to an officer.

Officers investigated after a Hoover Avenue caller reported Thursday at 11:31 p.m. a motor vehicle crash.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies arrested Steven Allen Rawlins of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, 33, on a state District Court warrant Thursday at 12:11 p.m. at the Hill County Detention Center.

Havre Fire Department

Medical crews responded to one call Thursday and one today.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held three medium-hair cats, sex listed as “unknown”; one female and two male short-hair cats; one female medium-hair cat; one female long-hair cat, and one female calico cat.

The shelter this morning held a 1-year-6-month-old female Australian shepherd, a 1-year-6-month-old female Rottweiler-shepherd mixed-breed dog, a 9-month-old male Australian shepherd, a 1-year-old male Labrador retriever-pug mixed-breed, a male 11-month-old German shepherd, a 2-year-old female border collie, a 6-year-old female Labrador retriever, a 7-month-old pit bull-hound mix and an 8-month-old male mixed-breed dog.
