Northern's Reeves repeats as Frontier Defensive Player of the Year

Montana State University-Northern senior Ryan Reeves, left, was named the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year on Tuesday. Reeves, who was also a First-Team All-Conference selection, won the award as a junior as well. Senior Charles Porter was also named Honorable Mention All-Conference.

The Frontier Conference men’s basketball season came to an official end Monday night, with Carroll College beating UM-Western for the conference championship. On Tuesday morning, the league announced its annual All-Conference Teams, and postseason awards.

As expected, Montana State University-Northern senior center Ryan Reeves was named Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Reeves earned the honor for the second straight year, after leading the Frontier in blocked shots and rebounds. He was also named First-Team All-Conference.
