Havre Police Department

Marvin Dale Spotted Bird of Havre, 23, and Cassandra Longtimesleeping of Havre, 23, were each arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault, after officers were called to Sixth Street Tuesday at 6:21 a.m. on a possible domestic disturbance.

Officers investigated a 3:39 p.m. Tuesday report of $1,670 worth of bad checks at a Third Avenue business.

Two arrests were made or summons issued during a 4:02 p.m. Tuesday vehicle stop on Boulevard Avenue. Details on the arrests were not provided.

Officers made an arrest while serving a warrant on First Street Tuesday at 5:29 p.m. Details on the arrest were not provided.

Edward James Lewis of Havre, 66, was arrested on charges of probation violation and open container in city after a caller at a First Street business reported Tuesday at 9:45 p.m. that two men appeared to be passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Marvin Dale Spotted Bird of Havre, 23, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia at the detention center Tuesday at 7:10 a.m.

Tina Belcourt of Box Elder, 35, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after a caller at at U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a shoplifter Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

Officers investigated a Tuesday 2:31 p.m. report from Fifth Street North that a tool was stolen and pawned.

Havre Fire Department

Fire crews were called to the 1100 Block of 10th Street West on a possible gas smell. Neither fire department or NorthWestern Energy crews could detect a problem.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held five medium-hair cats whose sex is listed as “unknown,” and one female and two male short-hair cats.

The shelter held 10 dogs, three of them new listings, this morning a 4-year-old male border collie, a 4-year-old Australian shepherd-Labrador retriever cross, an 8-month-old male pit bull-hound mix, a 1-year-3-month-old female Australian shepherd, a 1-year-1-month-old male Labrador retriever-pug mix-breed, a 26-week-old male terrier-spaniel cross, a 7-month-old female German shepherd, a 6-year-old female Labrador retriever, a 5-year-old female Australian shepherd and a 2-year-old female mixed-breed.
