Thanks to all from East Fork Fire Foundation

The East Fork Fire Foundation Board is pleased to announce that funds so generously donated by our community have been dispersed, and all funds have been allocated.

We wish to thank the Hill County Commissioners, with cooperation of the Blaine County Commission, for allowing our board to appoint individuals to evaluate applications and award funds based on those applications. Hill County had not removed any funds from the account and allowed us to disperse 100 percent of the donated funds.

We asked that our board who made the determination of funds remain anonymous, and also the funds that were awarded remain anonymous as well. What I can tell you is that each application that came in had valid and substantial losses that warranted turning in an application. The committee was able to look at each application based on its own merits and award funds accordingly. There was approximately $32,000 of funds awarded, and over $382,000.00 of documented losses.

We wish to thank the kind, giving generosity of those that gave time, money, and efforts to the East Fork Fire. It reminds us of why we live in a community that cares for each other in times of need. Please know if you donated money to the East Fork Fire Fund it is tax deductible, and if your donation of money, was in excess of $250.00, we can get a tax deductible receipt issued to you upon request. You can contact myself at [email protected] or 265-0918 if you need such a receipt.

Thank you.
