Obituary - Jeanne Shaw Hjartarson

Losing her battle with cancer, our beloved sister Jeanne Shaw Hjartarson passed away at Northern Montana Care Center Feb. 28, 2018.

We are very grateful for the care she received at the Care Center and the Sletten Cancer Centers in Havre and Great Falls. You are very special people with a tough job.

Jeanne was born to Roy and Delores Shaw June 13, 1952, in Havre, MT. She attended St. Jude's School and graduated from Havre High School. She received an associate degree in cosmetology from Northern Montana College. She worked as a hair stylist for several years, as well as the family's personal stylist. She also worked at Marguerite's and Patterson's for many years. Jeanne married Jon Hjartarson and they later divorced.

She went to work at MSU-Northern, first in the food court and then as a custodian. She took pride in her job and whichever building she was assigned to, she made sure it was clean! She also worked at Northern Montana Health Care for a short time.

Jeanne was a very passionate and talented person. She loved creating floral arrangements and decorating for the holidays. She took pride in her flower and rock gardens and was kind to any stray animal ... specially her kitty cats. Jeanne was a beautiful girl with a very big heart. She will be sincerely missed by her family.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She is survived by her siblings, Jody (Darrell) Lander, John Shaw, Jen (Noel) Henderson, Julie Arnold, Jeff Shaw, Jamie Shaw and Jerry (Marci) Shaw and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanne is finally at peace in Heaven with Mom and Dad and all of the furry friends. A celebration of her life will be held later this summer.
