For the second time in a month, Havre High junior Martin Wilkie was on one of amatuer wrestling's biggest stages at the high school level. And this past weekend, he brought home the gold.
Sunday in Reno, Nevada, Wilkie won the 132-pound high school championship at the Flo Reno Worlds. The event is one of the top amatuer, youth wrestling tournaments in the country, and Wilkie, who has won three consecutive Class A state champions for Havre, went through the draw perfect. In the championship match, he beat Washington 4A state champion Tanner Craig with a pin at the 1:21 mark.
